The Los Angeles Clippers are in the same spot all over again.
Kawhi Leonard is injured in the playoffs, and their chances of winning an NBA championship without him are slim.
Even if Russell Westbrook and James Harden are there and could always have a great game, Paul George might need more to secure his first-ever trip to the NBA Finals.
That’s why, with all the buzz about him not being able to strike a contract extension, some believe he could be on the move in the summer.
With that in mind, ESPN insider Ramona Shelbourne revealed that the Orlando Magic could be a strong suitor for his services (via NBA Central).
The Orlando Magic are interested in Paul George, per @ramonashelburne
"There's two teams that are paying very close attention to Paul George: the Orlando Magic and the Philadelphia 76ers, because both of them have the money to throw at him and have a need for a wing just like… pic.twitter.com/sIMK9eCaHg

Shelbourne claimed that, just like the Philadephia 76ers, the Magic have a big need for a veteran wing, and they have more than enough cash to spare and throw at him.
On paper, this makes perfect sense.
On the other hand, George’s entire camp and family are based in California.
He was quite emphatic about how much it meant for him to head back home when he first signed with the Los Angeles Clippers, so making that kind of move at this point in his career might not be what he’s looking for.
Still, he’s a borderline Hall of Famer, and winning a championship would most definitely cement his candidacy.
At some point, he might choose to make that kind of move to pursue a championship, and while the Magic might not give him that chance, the Sixers could be the team to beat in the East if they sign him.
