Howard was selected as the first overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft and immediately got to work with the Magic.
For the next eight seasons, he averaged 18.4 points and 13 rebounds and led the team through a very exciting chapter in their history.
Ultimately, things fell apart between him and the team and he moved to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2012.
That was just the start of many tumultuous years for Howard, who had a hard time staying with one team and bounced all over the league.
Howard did many great things for the Magic and even helped them reach the Finals in 2009, but the end of his time with the team was met with controversy and rumors.
The eight-time All-Star says he wants to make things right with the team, but it’s not clear how he can do that.
He has made no secret of his desire to return to the NBA, saying he’d play with several teams.
What are the chances that the Magic would sign Howard again, years after he left them and a few seasons after departing from the NBA?
It doesn’t seem likely but Howard is making it clear that he’d be on board to return.
